Insights from 52 In-depth interviews with Care & Repair Staff
By bringing together the voices of Care & Repair staff from across Wales, a new report offers unprecedented insight into the shared values, experiences, and challenges that underpin our work.
Based on 52 in-depth interviews, it showcases how caseworkers, administrators, handypersons, and technical officers build trust, go beyond the immediate issue, and work together to support older and vulnerable people in Wales.

We are inviting everyone to fill a shoebox with festive gifts and treats, to be delivered to an older person who may not have any friends or family around them this Christmas.
For many people, Christmas can be the most wonderful time of the year. But it can also be a difficult period, especially for people who are feeling lonely or isolated. That’s why this year, Care & Repair are spreading some seasonal cheer through our Gift Box Appeal.
The gifts don’t have to be expensive, and what you include is up to you. You may want to think about decorating your parcel, perhaps with some Christmas wrapping paper or other seasonal designs. This could be an activity that the whole family can get involved with. Please don’t seal the boxes, as we will need to check the contents. Simply use a string or rubber band to hold the lid in place.

Sign the Safety-Net Grant campaign pledge and show your support for older people struggling with hazardous disrepair.
The campaign calls for the Welsh Government to implement a Safety-Net Grant delivered by Care & Repair to rectify instances of dangerous disrepair.
Hazardous housing disrepair threatens lives and puts avoidable strain on health and social care services in Wales.
